Use a Custom Domain (FQDN)

Custom Domain

By default, your instances are reachable at a Nautobot Cloud domain — <instance-prefix>.<your-org>.nautobot.cloud. A custom domain (FQDN) lets you use your own domain instead, so an instance is also reachable at <instance-prefix>.<your-custom-domain> (for example, prod.nautobot.example.com).

FQDN section of the organization settings page

An organization can have a single custom FQDN set at a time, and once active it cannot be changed — to switch domains, the current one must first be deactivated.

Activating and deactivating an FQDN is handled by the Nautobot Cloud Support Team. Open a support ticket to request an FQDN activation or deactivation for your organization.

Status

Indicates whether a given custom domain (FQDN) is set up and can be used to access instances in your organization.
