Use a Custom Domain (FQDN)

FQDN section of the organization settings page

Custom Domain:

Nautobot Cloud provides a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) used to access Instances in an organization instead of the default nautobot.cloud. The domain name associated to an Instance is constructed by combining:

  • URL-safe form of the Instance name
  • Instance type
  • Region
  • Customer-specific cluster name
  • FQDN

An organization can only have a single FQDN set at a time. Once active, it cannot be changed.

Before a Custom Domain can be set, it must be inactive. Read more about activating and deactivating an FQDN below.

Status

Indicates whether a given custom domain (FQDN) is set up and can be used to access instances in an organization.

Activating and deactivating an FQDN

This process requires working with the Nautobot Cloud Support Team.

Create a new ticket on the Tickets page and request an FQDN activation or deactivation for a given organization. If an organization does not have access to built-in ticketing, you can visit our Support Portal.
